Gıda Kurtarma Derneği (GKTD), Sivil Toplum Destek Programı-II (CSSP-II) dahilinde “Türkiye’de Gıda Atığını Önleme ve Azaltımı İçin GKTD Kapasite Arttırımı” adlı projesiyle hibe almaya hak kazandı.
Gıda Kurtarma Derneği (GKTD) ülkemizde gıda atık ve kaybının önlenmesi için gerekli iletişim ve farkındalık çalışmalarının yürütülmesi, gıda atığını önleme konusunda çeşitli şekillerde faaliyet gösteren sivil toplum kuruluşlarının ihtiyaçlarını tespit ederek teknoloji, insan kaynağı, finansal destek, süreç kurgulama ve iyileştirme gibi farklı alanlarda destek programlarının devreye alınması ve Gıda Bankaları’na sürekli gıda bağışı bulma ve yetkinlik ve kapasite arttırma konusunda destek olmak amacı ile faaliyet göstermektedir.
Bu amaç doğrultusunda derneğimiz, Sivil Toplum Sektörü (CSS) ‘nün açmış olduğu Sivil Toplum Destek Programı (CSSP-II) ikinci dönem çağrısına “Türkiye’de Gıda Atığını Önleme ve Azaltımı İçin GKTD Kapasite Arttırımı” adlı projesiyle başvuruda bulundu. Başvuruda bulunan 500’den fazla proje başvurusu içerisinden hibe almaya hak kazandı. GKTD’nin koordinatör faydalanıcı olduğu projede, Türkiye Gıda ve İçecek Sanayii Dernekleri Federasyonu (TGDF) eş faydalanıcı olarak yer almıştır.
12 ay sürecek olan projemiz gıda kaybını ve israfını azaltmakla ilgilenen STK’ların kapasite oluşturma, kaynak yaratma ve işbirliği konularında iletişim ve savunuculuk becerilerini artırmak, katılımcı karar alma süreçlerinde hükümet ve diğer ilgili kamu makamları ile daha iyi ortaklıklar kurmalarını hedeflemektedir.
Bu çerçevede projede amaçlarımız;
- Bir savunuculuk stratejisi ve toolkiti geliştirmek,
- Politika savunuculuğunda ve etki değerlendirmesinde GKTD ve diğer STK’ların teknik bilgi ve kapasitelerini iyileştirmek,
- Gıda kaybını ve israfını azaltmakla ilgilenen temsilcilerin fikir alışverişinde bulunabileceği, daha fazla kanıta ve veriye dayalı bilgi ve beceri kazanabilecekleri bir network ağı yaratmak,
- Gıda atık yönetimi ve gıda bağışına ilişkin yönetmeliklerde boşluk analizi yaparak öneriler yaratmaktır.
12 ay sürecek faaliyet sürecinde;
- Savunuculuk toolkit masa üstü çalışmaları ile bir taslak hazırlanması,
- Oluşturulan taslak çalışmanın İstanbul ve Antalya’da yapılması planlanan çalıştaylarda Gıda Bankaları, STK temsilcileri, Kurumsal Firmaları, HORECAlar (hotel,restaurant,catring), kamu yerel yönetimleri ve devlet temsilcileriyle bir araya gelinerek tartışılması,
- Çalıştaylardan çıkan çıktılar doğrultusunda uzmanlar tarafından Gıda Atığını önleme, Gıda Bankacılığını yayma ve Kapasite Arttırımları konularda STKlara yol gösterici olması planlanan nihai Savunuculuk Toolkitinin oluşturulması,
- Gıda atık yönetimi ve gıda bağışına ilişkin yönetmeliklerde boşluk analizi çalışmalarıyla karar alıcı mercilere iletilecek bir öneriler raporunun oluşturulması,
- Son olarak da Ankara’da gerçekleşmesi planlanan Final Toplantısı ile beraber oluşturulan Savunuculuk Toolkitinin tüm Türkiye’ye duyurulması
modülleri hayata geçirilecektir.
